[SOMEWHERE, IN SOME CORNER OF THE CONVERSATORY............. NHS will come across Akechi glaring a hole into his spiral bound notebook, tap, tap, tapping a teal crayon against the pages. Does he dare approach, or is he going to wait this one out?]
[Honestly, that's a hard call. Angry people are intimidating!!
...but really, it's understandable on a day like this. He thinks it'll be common enough. Eventually he takes a few hesitant steps closer, peering down at Akechi over the edge of his fan.]
Are... no, I suppose 'are you well' isn't much of a question right now, is it?
[NHS approaches him — and Akechi stills, teal crayon coming to a stop against the spiral notebook. Given the way he was glaring at the notebook, one would expect that he might chew him out... But, nah. His expression crumples, and he solemnly glances up at him.]
... You would be right, yes. [Sighing!! Snapping his notebook shut and placing it down on his lap.] We failed Asch-san and Nia Teppelin miserably, and... Kaioh-san...
[WELL. If NHS wants to ambush Akechi after that whole ordeal, now is the chance! Because he will find him in the kitchen an hour or so after lunchtime, rummaging through the fresh produce for something to eat. Hewwo.]
[Nie Huaisang approaches cautiously, much like last time, but this time there's more concern in the way he looks Akechi over. Seems less gross, at least...]
... Oh, it's you. [That's not very polite, but he seems to relax once he sees who it is. Though, there's a second's pause as he realizes he asked something.] No, it's alright. I'm only—
[Painting is resting, isn't it? He's got one good arm, still, and he's working on what looks like a less detailed version of this, just beginning to paint over a drawing of it.]
[SINCE AKECHI IS NYOOMING-- hewwo. Nie Huaisang catches him outside of the conservatory, just on his way in, and nods to him, though he looks more than a little preoccupied.]
Akechi- would you like to join me?
[it smells really nice in this hallway, by the way. perfumey. is that huaisang??]
[Hm...? What kind of scent is it, specifically? Akechi looks similarly downtrodden, but he nods.]
As long as you don't mind if I ask you some questions. [He has a notebook in his left hand, and lifts it up a little.] I'm organizing my notes for tomorrow's trial.
[according to the mods, obnoxious mall perfume! he's also got his sleeve covering the hand his fan is held in. if he's aware of the scent he's not saying anything, so there's that.]
[Are the books in the library safe from the slime...? Oh, well. It won't be until a while after the mini event, but Akechi will approach him once he spots him in the library. Despite the fact that his skin isn't currently skin, too perfect and airbrushed to look human, he still somehow manages to look exhausted. Hm.]
[he's wearing gloves, so the books are safe! and a waterproof coat, plus some rubber boots. 'why didn't he have those earlier, teej?' for the shitpost is why.]
[All things considered, Akechi looks... pretty okay, actually! He is visibly bandaged up here and there, but it is nothing overly egregious. The most noticeable thing is how exhausted he seems, though that is to be expected. A backpack has been laid down next to him, stuffed to the brim and propped up against a chainsaw and a spear. H,
He looks at NHS in surprise once he approaches him, like he didn't expect him to care, before he slowly nods.]
Ah... Yes. What we encountered wasn't too perilous. My group escaped relatively unharmed. [RELATIVELY.] And you?
[he doesn't seem too injured save for that slice and also some finger-shaped bruising on one wrist that looks pretty nasty, which i forgot. it's fine.]
Though that's partially thanks to a few of the things we found along the way... it seemed intent on not letting us through without a few fights.
week one, saturday.

And to think someone is still out there-- it's more than a little terrifying.

I couldn't get back to sleep, anyway.

As long as you are taking care of your injuries, I suppose I can't complain too much.
[Stepping closer to take a good look at the painting.]
Your placard listed painting among your skills, but this looks like it's going to become quite the amazing work of art. I'm a bit jealous.

[Shitposts are valid. For the record, assume Akechi is bundled up with gloves, a scarf and all — so the only thing that's visibly wrong is his face.]

Taking a break from your preparations? The others seem to be eager to move, so... I suppose it won't be long for us.
[guess who's going first, apparently. he looks a little tired already.]

[G... Guess who's going last? Good luck, NHS.]
Although... It's rather fortunate that we found each other. There is something I wanted to speak to you about.

Akechi. You made it out as well?
