[ so hard esp when you got problems to pick with people.
and honestly, he's a bit surprised to find akechi by the playground but it would be the last place to look for someone like him. probably. he'll grumble his answer. ]
Like I want to hit somebody.
[ he's still at an age where he's gonna be honest like this. ]
[Sometimes, you just have to scuttle away to the playground dead ass in the middle of the night to get some peace and quiet... Though that obviously is not as effective a strategy as he had hoped, given the fact that Ken found him anyway. It is what it is though, and his honest answer does startle a quiet, humorless laugh out of him.]
... Not only did we fail to find Nia Teppelin's killer, we failed to save Asch-san's life as well. And Kaioh-san— [He makes a noise at the back of his throat, obviously disgusted.] I'm frustrated. How could we get it so wrong?
[ ken doesn't say anything initially and just nods at what akechi is saying. he must be doubly annoyed because of being a ""detective"", so it makes sense to ken. ]
I'm not sure.
[ ...
well, ken's gonna take a seat on the swing because, might as well? ]
The evidence seemed to be all over the place. [ quite literally, hah! ] And it's not like these murders are typical...
... I know. [He sighs, watching him take a seat before offering a humorless smile.] I can only speak for myself, but the method behind these murders is even stranger than anything I experienced in our world... Unlike us, the creatures don't seem to adhere to any particular set of rules.
[Even the story failed to prepare them for whatever the heck happened to Nia's head, after all... Yikes.]
Not to mention, we wasted too much of our time following the wrong trail.
Neither can I. But... I doubt there was any purpose behind it. Some people are simply twisted to their core.
[Which, you know, is lovely to think of in the context of them being trapped in a murder mansion with such a person. Whomst the fuck killed the horse? Yikes.
Regardless... He does give Ken a curious glance.]
It's alright if you don't wish to speak about it. Dredging up painful memories if hardly my intent, after all... But what sort of transformations are you familiar with?
[ "some people are simply twisted to their core".................. ]
During the Dark Hour people and things changed... Most normal people transformed into coffins, however not everyone did. [ you can see where things are going... ] If people didn't automatically get killed by the Shadows then there was a chance that they would become one themselves.
Have normal people tried it? Going into the Metaverse, that is.
[ especially since that whole thing is...interesting. a mind palace?? heart palace?? sounds kind of cool, honestly, and vastly preferred to a creepy tower of monsters. ]
[ we really don’t know… thanks atlus for leaving us with more questions than answers… ]
I can’t say it wasn’t upsetting; we all thought that after the Dark Hour ended, we’d never have to worry about stuff like that again. It's part of why we fought so hard.
[ well that and the fact that the world was literally about to end if they hadn't done anything but YOU KNOW. ]
Makes you wonder what else there out there. Were there other things after the Dark Hour and before the Metaverse?

[Horse murder sure did happen!]

[ he'll start to swing a little bit. best to get that nervous energy out. ]
They're different from what I've seen too. Most transformations I'm familiar with, the person ends up dying afterwards as a result of it.
[ YOU KNOW. because...shadows........ ]
I still can't someone would kill a horse, though. It's not as though the horse did anything wrong.

[ you know, fun stuff. ]
But by that point they'd be already dead.

That's— [Big yikes!] ... I see. If that's one of its effects, then the Dark Hour and the Metaverse clearly could not be any more different.
[Hm.]
... My apologies, Amada-kun. I assume you discovered this through experience.

[ because, well, what else is there to say about the whole thing. p3 shadows come for you. but the metaverse comes for your entire self so... hm. ]
Fortunately, if you're a Persona user then you're safe from the shadows. Or, at least, stand a better chance.

[ hmm. well he doesn't need to be told about what happens if people don't awaken to their persona. seems a bit on the obvious side there. ]
It's hard to believe that there's something similar to the Dark Hour even after we got rid of it.

[Did some parts of that research come from another source? We just don't know.]
... I can't imagine how it must have felt to known that something similar existed. It must have been upsetting.
