[Grief, shock and frustration. Akira will, unfortunately, be keenly aware of all three emotions in the hour between the announcement and this very moment. Though all three have fizzled out by now, at least, giving way to cold anger. The determination to be patient, and wait for the right opportunity to strike and destroy whoever is responsible.
He's clearly in the midst of stealing medical supplies from the infirmary when Akira makes his presence known, lining his pockets with bandages and a suture kit as he looks up. He absolutely has not slept yet but, eh. It's fine.]

[... His gaze snaps to the box tucked under his arm. He lifts an eyebrow.]
[IT'S FINE. . . and honestly, those feelings coming from Akechi are almost strangely familiar. it's what he'd expect. and in a way, it's comforting to know that not even Akechi has been dissuaded or disheartened by three victims]
[Akira nods, and when he holds up the box, Akechi will notice that it's a chess box! lovingly pilfered from the game room]
I thought we could play for a bit. Get our minds off of-- everything.
